Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Joon, BIBI and Im Se Mi are involved in new crime drama The Worst Of Evil

Disney+ has revealed new character posters for its upcoming series The Worst of Evil!

Set in the 1990s, The Worst of Evil is a crime action drama about an investigation launched to eliminate a large Gangnam-based cartel responsible for the illicit drug trade between Korea, Japan and China.

Ji Chang Wook will play Park Joon Mo, a detective who embarks on a dangerous mission to covertly infiltrate the Gangnam Alliance and gain the trust of mafia boss Jung Ki Chul.

The Worst of Evil director Han Dong Wook praised Ji Chang Wook’s portrayal of his character, noting, “I think he could be talked about.” [in the future] as an actor who gave one of the best performances of all time in the undercover genre.”

Wi Ha Joon will play Jung Ki Chul in the drama, the ruthless leader of the Gangnam Alliance who, after a painful childhood, fought his way to the top of the mafia. When it comes to success, Jung Ki Chul is ready to use any means necessary.

However, the evil mafia boss experiences conflicting feelings towards Park Joon Mo and Yoo Eui Jung, which he relies on but also makes him suspicious.

In Se Mi, Yoo will play Eui Jung, an elite drug officer who is both Park Joon Mo’s wife and Jung Ki Chul’s first love. Not only does she stand as an emotional link between the two main actors in the drama, but she is also an excellent police officer involved in the investigation.

Finally, BIBI will play the role of Hae Ryun, who plays a crucial role in the Chinese drug factory’s distribution. Hae Ryun travels to Korea for a deal with Jung Ki Chul, but after meeting Park Joon Mo, she causes an unexpected new incident.

Finally, director Han Dong Wook summed up The Worst of Evil by describing it as “a story about people who are willing to give up everything for what they want.”

The Worst of Evil premieres on September 27th.
