Monster Energy’s Chikadze (15-3) came to Singapore to return to the Victory Column after a loss to Calvin Kattar in January 2022. His opponent, American MMA fighter Alex Caceres (21-14), entered the Octagon in a one-on-one win streak after defeating Daniel Pineda in June 2023.

Right after the opening bell, the fight between Chikadze and Cáceres developed into a slapping fight on the feet. As both fighters attacked aggressively, Caceres broke through with a vicious backward punch, but Chikadze fired back, landing his signature kicks, overhand rights and punishing straight jabs.

The slugfest intensified in the second round as Caceres landed some punches while Chikadze did most of the damage with hard punches and precise kicks. In the final round, Caceres tried to increase his punching power, leaving Chikadze an opportunity to land stunning punches based on his kickboxing expertise.

Ultimately, it was Chikadze who predicted his opponent’s every move and found opportunities for well-placed shots that hurt. After the three-round bout, the judges unanimously declared Chikadze the winner (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

“It definitely wasn’t easy, but as you can see I changed my style a bit to make sure I win all the fights,” said Monster Energy’s Chikadze after his win at UFC Fight Night Singapore, adding, “It It’s not easy.” Being unemployed for a year and a half when you have two children, a wife and a family.”

Saturday’s win puts Chikadze back in the winners’ circle. The Georgian batting expert has suffered just one loss since joining the UFC and had a nine-fight win streak ahead of him before losing to Kattar in 2022. As Chikadze said in Singapore: “It’s been a long time. I’ve decided the Giga Show is back.” !”

For his next fight, Chikadze eyed the UFC 296 pay-per-view back in December. “December sixteenth! I want to be there this time!” Chikadze said in his Octagon interview. stay tuned for more
