Ryan Gosling listens to Taylor Swift in the Super Bowl commercial “The Fall Guy.”

Universal

Ryan Gosling’s stuntman bounty hunter in The Fall Guy is apparently a Swiftie.

Universal released a Super Bowl ad for the David Leitch thriller on Sunday, which features several action sequences, aliens and space cowboys. In one scene, Gosling cries in his car while listening to Taylor Swift’s song “All Too Well.”

“Did you cry to Taylor Swift?” Emily Blunt asks Gosling in the trailer.

“Doesn’t everyone do that?” Gosling replies.

The scene most likely alludes to the NFL’s coverage of the pop star during the 2023 season. Swift has attended several NFL games to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The pop star’s arrival at the 2024 Super Bowl dominated CBS Sports’ NFL pregame coverage today, even hours before kickoff.

Based on Glen A. Larson’s 1980s television series of the same name, “The Fall Guy” stars Gosling as Colt Seavers, a stuntman searching for a missing movie star for whom he once acted as a double. The film also stars Blunt as Gosling’s ex-girlfriend Jody and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the AWOL star. They are supported in the film by Stephanie Hsu (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Winston Duke (“Black Panther”), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”) and Teresa Palmer (“A Discovery of Witches”).

Leitch’s The Fall Guy was written by Drew Pearce and produced by Leitch, Gosling, McCormick and Guymon Casady for Universal Pictures and 87North Productions. Executive producers include Pearce, Larson, Peter Cramer, Cecil O’Connor, Matt Reilly and Geoff Shaevitz.

“The Fall Guy” hits theaters on May 3rd. Check out the Super Bowl commercial below.
