SI’s Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and Pat Forde share their insights and thoughts from Week 0 of the college football season.

Notre Dame got off to a hot start with a win over the Navy behind new signal caller Sam Hartman. The move to Wake Forest lived up to the hype and the Fighting Irish finally have a quarterback they can count on.

USC faced San Jose State in their first game of the season this weekend. The Trojans won by a comfortable margin, but their defense quickly caused anger among the fans. The podcast speculates on how this USC team will fare against teams that are strong in the trenches or play a particularly physical style of football.

It looks like the ACC may add Stanford and Cal soon after ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips and his team created new financial plans in the event the conference expands. When that happens, the Pac-4 becomes the Pac-2, with Oregon State and Washington State unclaimed by the other power conferences. The boys discuss whether they are likely to join Mountain West or the American Athletic Conference.

The state of Arizona itself issued a bowl ban for the 2023 season, shocking many. After recruiting infractions under head coach Herm Edwards, it looked like the hammer was about to drop. The Arizona state regime has decided that they will self-penalize their first year under Kenny Dillingham before the NCAA has an opportunity to impose a more severe sentence.

The LSU Tigers have a big duel against the Florida State Seminoles in Week 1, so the show looks at what we can expect from Brian Kelly’s team as a sophomore.

Miami of Ohio and the University of Miami go head-to-head in Week 1, sparking a debate about which Miami school should be the real Miami of college football.

To wrap up the show, Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark attended a dinner at the Texas Tech Booster Club and let the nation know that he would like Texas Tech to beat Texas this year to elevate the Longhorns properly from the Big 12 to adopt.
